This show highlights Ramy's relationship with his religion and idenity while living in America. As a young boy freshly moved to America Ramy was in school when 9/11 happened, and from that day forward, like many Arabs, his life changed forever. Ramy had to fit in the only way he knew how which was to fully embrace the western culture, but at the expense forgetting his own. His parents and sister eventually also subcome to forgetting who they are, and trying desperately to find themselves. The show dives into how taboo things like masterbating, pre martial sex, and gambling is to the Arab and Muslim community, but that it's so heavily apart of Western culture that it's hard to stay away from. Everything was going well and normal for Qinawi until he met a women named Hanouma who illegally sold drinks in the station. He quickly fell in love with Hanouma and did what he could to make her recuperate the feelings. ★★★★☆ Release date: 2007 Director: Amin Matalqa Producers: Amin Matalqa Main cast: Nadim Sawalha, Rana Sultan, Huessein Al- Sous Captain Abu Raed follows the story of an older gentleman name Abu Raed who works as a janitor at an airpot. The movie starts off with Abu Raed grieving his dead wife, and simply wanting more out of life. While being in the airport working, he walks around wearing a pilots hat; which a group of children see and are convinced that he is a pilot after Abu Raed goes along with the assumption. Abu Raed tells the children stories about all of his adventures as a pilot, but one child does not believe that Abu Raed is telling the truth. The young boy tries to show the group that Abu Raed is lying to them, and once they all go to the airport, and inevitably see that Abu Raed is simply just a janitor, his act was up. The movie starts off with Adel desperately trying everything in his power to see Abeer in this hospital, but the workers made it very difficult for him to do so. When Abeer passed away Adel fell into a deep depression and didn't even attend her funeral. His three friends hated seeing Adel in this state and wanted to do what they could to make him feel at least a little better. Ahmad's wife is a stay at home mom who complains about many things, while Ahmad works for little to nothing, and barley can keep his family afloat. One day he needs to get paperwork done for his children and spends a tremendous amount of time looking for the right man who can help Ahmad. Eventually Ahmad get's fed up and starts a fight which leads to him in possession of a gun, and hostages. Throughout the movie we meet four other characters who join Ahmad and become the 'terrorists' who ultimately have to start meeting the demands of the hostages, such as fetching them 'kabobs.' When the father, Leba and his wife Lara have their first boy, Ghadi, it was hard for them to come to terms with the fact he was disabled. Before Ghadi, the couple had to able bodied girls, but eventually the family grew to love Ghadi just as much as the girls, and see that having a child isn't a curse, but a blessing if you accept it to be. The city though, is not as accepting as Ghadi's family learned to become. But as the movie goes on, we come to find that the girl is actually a vampire and preys on the bad men in the city that take advantage of the women.
