Masameer is an animated movie that follows the adventure of Saad, Saltouh, Kalb to become super hero's. The movie starts off by introducing us to the characters and their current situation, which unfortunately was being homeless and digging through trash because their previous home was broken down in order to make room for a new public bathroom for the rich neighborhood. As the movie goes on, we are taken to a scene where Saad, Saltouh, and kalb are still going through trash but happen to come across an invitation that will change their life, and the course of the movie. The invitation was for a superhero event for potential new hero's. As you could guess, of course the three of them just had to go. At the event, everyone except Saad, Saltouh, and Kalb have a costume, which ultimately caused the three of them to get kicked out because no costume meant no powers. Now like so many movies, there has to be a villain, in this movie his name is Captain Daal, who uses a robot intended for good, to- well, do harm. Although the friends were told they weren't hero's because they didn't have super hero costumes, they stepped up to Captain Daal, and proved that you can do good, regardless of who you are.

I enjoyed this movie a lot, it was super lighthearted and fun to watch, but kept me extremely engaged. The jokes and references were cute, and sometimes pretty funny. I do think knowing and understanding the language helped a ton with the jokes. I do believe that jokes usually can never carry over the same effect when translated into English. Of course, the jokes are still there but a lot of the times they are almost always funnier in the language they were made in. I thought the mix of both 3D and 2D animation in this movie was so random, and aided into the comedy for me. The random singing scenes kind of threw me off I'm not going to lie, but like I said: it keeps you engaged with its randomness. The reason I gave it four stars and not five is because I think it just didn't leave me thinking "wow that was so good!" It was a good movie, but if I'm not talking about it the next day with my family and recommending it then it simply wasn't five stars, but I would watch it again. Out of 2,367 IMDb voters, Masameer was given a score of 6/10. Of those voters, 21% (497 voters), gave Masameer its highest score of 10/10. And 11.6% (275 voters), gave Masameer its lowest score of a 1/10. I was surprised to see that the movie was given a 6/10 score, I was certain it would be higher simply because I didn't see anything to dislike about it. It was a harmless, lighthearted, comedic movie. It certainly didn't have me on the edge of my seat or laughing so hard I cried, but I have no complaints about this movie!
